American scientists have found that people who spend more than three hours watching TV every day are twice as prone to the risk of early death.

The study involved 13 thousand healthy people. The observation lasted eight years. During this time, 97 participants in the experiment died from various heart and cancer diseases.

Analysis of leisure activities showed that watching TV is one of its “sedentary” forms. Strange, but the possibility of the risk of early death did not apply to other types of sedentary activities, such as, for example, working at a computer or driving a car.

According to reports, the number of people who spend in a sitting position a lot of time, from year to year only increases. Doctors recommend watching TV no more than a couple of hours a day and move as much as possible.
